Sales Tax Holiday?!!
This is for all my West Coast friends and family: They do something really weird here - they pick a weekend and don't charge you any sales tax on s certain group of items. I know, I never heard of such a thing either. (It's not like when you go to Portland, since Oregon has no sales tax.) Next weekend, if you buy clothing (not jewelry or accessories) that costs under $100 per item, you don't have to pay sales tax. And the merchant legally cannot charge you any tax.

That's next weekend for us! Great for stocking up on school clothes and supplies! ~Serene
ReplyDeleteIt is a great thing for Oklahoma to think of giving a break to parents buying school clothes.
ReplyDeleteYep, they have this in my area from time to time--a way to help parents trying to get their children ready to go back to school.
