Do They Even Make Glasses For The Shower?

When I drive to California, I do a lot of shopping at Trader Joe's, filling the car with those things that are too heavy or too liquid to bring back in luggage when I fly.  One of my favorites is the Tea Tree Tingle Conditioner.  This time I decide to try the Body Wash too.  So I bought one bottle of each and put the bottle of the Conditioner in the bag I take with me to the pool.  (With my chlorine removing shampoo.)  And have been using the Body Wash at home in the shower - because this is Winter in Tulsa, and unless you have the oiliest skin in the world, you have to use body wash in the shower.  It's that dry here!  I thought it should be , oh I don't know, foamier - or clean a little better.  Well, it turns out that I bought two bottles of Conditioner and have been using one as Body Wash for a few weeks.  But my point, and I do have one, is that I (and lots of other people) can't read very well in the shower, because we don't wear our glasses in the shower.  So if the bottles look the same, I'm just guessing whether it's Shampoo, Conditioner, or Body Wash.  Maybe they should use different colors for each.
John made this terrific breakfast for Sunday morning.  Perfect bacon and eggs with his first ever Pumpkin Waffles.  They were really good.  He used a mix from Trader Joe's that he picked up at Christmas in California but never used.
Usually I make Pumpkin Pancakes on Thanksgiving morning, using fresh pumpkin that I bake and mash.  They are really spectacular(no kidding), but too much work to make very often.  Wish I bought more of this mix.  Have to wait until next Fall, since this is a seasonal item.  Like Aldi's Winter Squash Pasta Sauce - delicious, but I found out that they are serious about it being seasonal, when I returned to buy more.

  1. I couldn't agree with you more about not being able to distinguish between shampoo and conditioner in the shower. I used to address this problem by getting in the shower with my contacts still in, until I read it was very bad to do that. Something about bacteria in the water contaminating contacts. Now I just guess if the bottles are similar: if it lathers it's shampoo; try in the hand first.

Mmm. Pumpkin waffles sound great. Will have to try that. This seasonal business and stores' decisions regarding same is frustrating. I love more than anything the pumpkin cream cheese muffin offered at Starburks--but only around Thanksgiving!

  2. Well, I guess your body is "well conditioned" now. Pumpkin waffles sound delicious and of course bacon makes everything better.

  3. We use a lot of the tea tree shampoo and conditioner, it's a great cure all for everything. I hate to introduce the subject, but kids nowadays are plagued with outbreaks of lice (There's no escaping it!) and the tree tree products wards them away!

  4. Well, I never thought of the glasses in the shower issue! I guess your body must feel silky smooth now ;)
Maybe it would be worth getting a thick black felt tip pen and putting "c" for conditioner etc etc on the appropriate bottles?

  5. One can use conditioner in place of shaving gel I understand... And I rarely shampoo these days anyhow, my hair being quite flyaway. I just rinse well after a work out and use a bit of conditioner. Shampoo about once a week these days.

  6. Hi Sanda - I totally agree that Starbucks Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffins are delicious. I'm also a big fan of their Ginger Loaf which is only available at Christmas.

  7. Hi Darla - If only getting my body "conditioned" could just come from a bottle, instead of all this exercise!

  8. Hi Jody - Glad to find another Tea Tree Believer. I didn't know about the lice cure, but lice are such a problem these days. At least they no longer have to shave their heads.

  9. Thanks, Carolyn - You are ever the scientist, coming up with a great solution. I usually just keep the different products in separate corners of my tub.

  10. Hi Shelley - I just shampoo when I need to get the chlorine from the swimming pool out of my hair. The rest of the time, I'm like you in that I clean my hair with conditioner. Actually, without conditioner, I would never be able to even comb my hair.
