Hmmm, very attractive outdoor sculpture. But what are they doing :))
ReplyDeleteMust admit this is mostly over my head - why do people want to do this sort of thing? Because they can? The first part of your title sure made my stomach flip! Bill loves to tell people that two of the airports in OKC (Wiley Post & Will Rogers) are named after men killed in airplane crashes... He's onery that way.
ReplyDeleteHi Patricia - I couldn't figure it out. I walked all around it and took pictures, looking for some type of plaque to explain it. No luck! Maybe dancing?
ReplyDeleteHi Shelley - I never realized that - but how odd to name airports after them. Does Bill have one of those wonderful minds that finds the hidden patterns in thing?
ReplyDeleteBe sure to let us know if you find out the significance of the sculpture. Odd!
ReplyDeleteThere's a great little airport in Paola that might need some of what he has to sell. There's prize-winning barbecue there and on the weekends, you can eat a hearty breakfast and watch the planes fly in--without a controller.
ReplyDeleteNo idea if Bill figured that one out or just read it somewhere. It did stick with him either way.
ReplyDeleteI love the outdoor men, shadow boxing maybe?
ReplyDeleteHi Sanda - It might be like the Hammering Man in Seattle - there is no logic to it. Just big "art".
ReplyDeleteHi Terri - I will call you if we ever get to your airport. (I didn't notice an airport sign the last time we drove 169, or we would have already seen it.) I love watching little planes - it's like being in high school in Tahoe, when these big stars would fly into the tiny airport and we would sit and wait for them to land. Hard to believe anyone would wait to see Eddie Fisher.
ReplyDeleteHi Shelley - From all you've written about your husband, I'm inclined to believe he worked it out for himself.
ReplyDeleteHi Heather - I always enjoy your Minivan Momma posts. There is a surprisingly large number of women blogging in Oklahoma. I think there are quite a few Kansas women bloggers, too. I wonder why?
ReplyDeleteHi Lilly - Sometimes I visit your blog so I can pretend I'm visiting Australia. Your daughter is so beautiful!
