Joseph Zimmer - Dentist Extraordinaire!

I am sitting in the Orange County Airport in Santa Ana, California waiting for a flight to Seattle. I won't have time to do anything else but see my dentist and go home again. John got the ticket with frequent flyer miles and we had to coordinate with Zimmer's busy schedule, so that how it must be. Sad, since I have friends I would love to see, but happy, since I don't have to go to the trouble of finding a Tulsa dentist yet. And this guy is quite the dentist!
Dr Zimmer laughs whenever I call him "eye candy", but he really is. So he'll never see 40 again, but neither will John, and you all know how cute I think he is! He is trim and athletic and smarter than smart. He smells good - not all dentisty or even sexy - just an old Eagle Scout kind of thing. And he always says (and this is an actual quote), "I always forget how beautiful your teeth are". Attention: Any other of Dr Zimmer's patients who have been told the same thing, don't start thinking this is just a line that dentists use to keep patients coming back - I really do have great, naturally straight teeth. My best feature, after my fabulous feet. So I'm sure your teeth are really that pretty too!

  2. I would love to have a dentist like yours, but Seattle is a bit far for me to travel twice a year for that purpose.Too bad I can't think of a reason to go there on a business trip!

  3. He must be an excellent dentist to get on a plane and fly to visit him! My own teeth are falling apart (too much coffee?). After figuring up our taxes for the year, I realized that our dentist made off with several thousand of our dollars this year. Still, I love him (younger than me), because he placed a permanent cap for me on a day he should have had OFF.

  5. Sanda, I waited until after my appointment to leave your reply, because initially I was going to tell you to try and find some Seattle business, but wanted to make sure my memory wasn't faulty on just how fabulous this guy is. And it's true, he is worth the plane trip. And not just him, but his great staff. I see the same hygenist every time. I get told what I'm doing right for my teeth. If something needs to be fixed, he gives me a time frame. And my next visit, they made on the same day as his yearly Open House party. I can't believe they thought of that! Happy dance!

  6. Hi Terri, I'm so glad you like your dentist. It makes a world of difference. I still get all nervous, but I'm sure it will be a painless as possible. And I feel comfortable enough to tell him how nervous I am.
I actually broke a tooth 10 years ago, and when I went in to have him fix it, I told him how it just made me feel old. He said that it was now all sharp edges now, and I could get in with the young lionesses and share the kill again. He would still fix it, but there was no way it was an age thing. Pretty neat guy!

  7. Beryl - Your dentist sounds lovely. I think I've found a good one here in England, finally, but he's new and we won't know until August if his contract will be renewed. I have my fingers crossed!
