Missoni For Target Sweater And Scarf - Lost In My Closet

I haven't worn this Missoni For Target as much as I should have, considering how much I like it.  It just never feels right in Tulsa - either too hot to wear it or too cold.  And these Oklahoma winds just blow off any scarf I haven't triple knotted.  Think I'll take it with me to California for Christmas.

I love the closet in this apartment so much. Nothing really gets lost in here.  John put up these neat hooks for jewelry right behind my clothes.  They are from IKEA - another store that doesn't have an Oklahoma branch.  But I'll visit one in California and bring back more hooks and maybe a few shoe racks.

  1. Your Missoni by Target is gorgeous - I hope you get a chance to wear it over the Christmas holidays. Great idea with the hooks; far superior to my method of throwing the lot in a big basket.

  2. Look at all your necklaces! You must have every color available! Love your hat collection too. We don't have an Ikea either. I've only been to a store once, in Atlanta, and really want to go back by all means take that sweater to Calif. for Christmas!

  4. Beautiful sweater and I'm envying you that closet wall! We have no closets here, just wardrobes and a space hidden with sliding doors.

  5. What a beautiful sweater and scarf to take to California. Organization is key to be able to find things in your closet and it looks like you have mastered it!

  6. Your closet looks so organized. Not amount of help from IKEA would keep mine looking so tidy I'm afraid.

  7. Hi Patricia - Most of my bracelets are in a big dish and that works, too. Too much tangle with the long necklaces.

  8. Hi Sanda - Taking that sweater with me for Christmas is a great idea. And I had not even considered it, since it's blues and browns and I was thinking of red and green. We are having Christmas at my son's girlfriend's parents house, and this should make a good first impression. Thanks!

  9. Hi Serene - Putting up these hooks was the best thing we've done in this apartment. Since we both live in apartments, you know how hesitant your husband can be to put holes in those walls, but this was so worthwhile. Just need a better way to display the earrings. I keep forgetting what I have.

  10. Hi Shelley - It funny how charming we think an Armoire is until it's your only closet.

  11. Hi Jeanne - Funny how it took other people to point out the obvious - of course that's a good thing to wear in California. It is Winter and will be just cold enough for the scarf too.

  13. I can relate to loving a garment but its in the wrong climate- my vintage Pendleton coat was to heavy for Sacramento winters but HERE in Seattle, just right!

I love the look of your closet. Right now I'm living out of bins. Yup. I lose most of my clothes/belts/scarves/you name it MOST of the time.

  14. Hi Bella - I know what you mean. It took me years to realize that I only really like clothes for warm weather.
Living out of bins is murder - you need to check out the clearance area at IKEA. People return stuff and all IKEA wants to do is get rid of it. Or free furniture on Craig's List, Seattle.
