The Decorative Spider

Been away from home for so long that the sweet little circular web spiders have decorated my front porch for Halloween for me.

Some of that away time was spent in Las Vegas, where I almost gave into temptation and bought this bracelet.  Somehow nothing looks too gaudy to wear in Las Vegas.

    1. Thanks Patricia - My Halloween was great. I wonder how Las Vegas is on Halloween? It is the town where you can wear anything you want.

  2. Happy to see a post from you. That bracelet really makes a statement doesn't it? Would be fun to wear a few days of the year around Halloween, probably stay in the jewelry box the rest of the year though.

    1. Hi Darla - You wouldn't believe how much jewelry I have that is for only a few days a year. I even have a pair of 4th of July earrings.

  3. Welcome back! Spider webs are a little creepy, but they truly are beautiful creations, especially when you see them wet with dew in the morning sun. I know just what you mean about the Vegas 'dress code'. I remember fishnet boots and a sequinned butterfly top from my last visit!

  4. Hi Beryl! I love spiders, everything about them, it's rodent that freak me out...I love your spider bracelet, pretty and sparkly. I bought a vintage spider broach last year - and it wasn't even Halloween! - then it promptly fell off during the evening, I was devastated

    1. One of my beaus had a brother married to a girl who would shriek and stand on a chair at the sight of even the tiniest spider. Pretty odd to me. I'd rather have them there eating all the other bugs. And as jewelry. Sad about your vintage pin. Maybe it just crawled away.

  5. What a pleasant surprise that you're back! Now that is one gaudy bracelet but I much prefer your Rolex watch....alone on your wrist! I love looking at spider webs; such a work of art they are.

  6. Hi Sanda - And that spider web is the reason I didn't get all those stink bugs inside as they were trying to find a warm place to winter.
