What did everyone do on Black Friday? We all ran over to the Chevy Dealer and Amanda and Mike bought this nifty new Chevy Cruze. So cute! (And it feels better to have her in a trustworthy car,)
Is anything cooler than having a Pi Pan to make Pi shaped Pie?
So, I've had a cold, which I would normally have enjoyed. Not that being ill is so great, but convalescence is a perfect excuse to indulge, All that time I would have spent at Water Aerobics can be used for reading, watching old TV shows, building my little models, drinking mint tea, eating Vegemite on buttered toast (newly discovered) - just lazy self-indulgence stuff. But this time I was just too sick to do any of this.
This is the Nanoblocks version of the Sydney Opera House that I couldn't resist.
Sorry you've been sick Hope you're all better now. What a cute pie pan; have never seen one of those! What kind of pi will you bake in it? I've been nursing a cole for two weeks and have lounged around reading. Nice, but I'm so ready to be up and about.
ReplyDeleteHi Sanda - I agree about being ready to be up and around. This was a fast and fairly light cold for everyone else who got it, but at Thanksgiving, there was a cigarette smoker, and I am so allergic that it really complicated mine. I wish they had given this poor guy a cigar instead since I'm not allergic to those. I'll have to bring some to Christmas Dinner, since it's very likely to happen again. But hopefully there won't be any germs around then and we'll all be well.
DeleteBeryl, I'm sorry you have been so ill, and I do declare you are picking up some good old Australian habits there. Vegemite on toast is Key to recovery from colds and flu. My mother used to make Vegemite soup when we were ill. One teaspoon of vegemite dissolved in a big mug of hot water. I guess it works like chicken soup. Love those nanoblocks - I see they are selling them at our Art Gallery store now. Please show the results of the pi pan - too cute!
ReplyDeleteHi Patricia - I will try that soup right before bed tonight. It sounds lovely. Like a Miso Soup with more flavor. I wonder which Nanoblocks they are selling in your Art Gallery store?
DeleteSo sorry to hear you've been ill - I follow the indulgence bit, but I've never been able to say I enjoyed having a cold. I agree that a trustworthy car is a blessing for peace of mind. Cute building blocks and I'm sure you'll get a lot of use from your pi-pan.
ReplyDeleteHi Shelley - Next time I mention that I sort of like being sick, my family will remind me of this cold. Yes, it will be known as The Great Cold of 2013!
DeleteWow, what a lovely car, yes so much nicer to feel safer. Love this life of Pi over your place today
ReplyDeleteHi Jody - Thanks! Christmas in NZ with your family sounds just lovely - have fun!
