Kale Chips - Snack Of Champions
These Kale Chips were very tasty - I liked the taste, but John did not. He even asked for a Cream Soda to get rid of the flavor. We'll agree to disagree.
Kale chips. Never heard of them but I think I might like them because I love all the crispy dried vegetables sold as snacks (carrots, sweet potatoes, green beans and the like). I might look for these in the store.
We have kale growing in the back garden - just about the only thing growing now. I like stir-fried kale, fried til it's crispy and of course I add salt, so perhaps I know the flavour of the chips. Not sure I'm convinced it's healthy food any more though!
I have tried kale but don't know how to best cook it; I was told it is very good in a healthy diet. Kale chips might be the go - I'll look out for these.
Like Shelley, we have kale growing in our garden almost year round and I have lots of recipes using kale. I've made a kind of "chip" by shredding it, tossing it lightly in oil, putting it on a cookie sheet in the oven until it is crispy. It is a nice addition on the top or a soup or even a salad.
