Made A Couple Of Cute Cards
This one was for the local DAR (Daughter's Of The American Revolution) to send along with a gift basket for all the pregnant wives of Tulsa servicemen who are deployed. I made almost 30 of them. Got pretty bored after 3 of them.
Somehow working with paper and glue doesn't push my buttons, but these are cute cards. I think the real challenge is having the design ideas. You obviously have 'The Eye'.
I didn't care for Scrapbooking at all - then I decided to save some money by making my own cards. It's great for when I can't sew - like when I'm travelling. Sometimes I just copy someone else's idea, but I only take pictures of my own designs.
I used to love making cards too, once upon a time. It's a lot of work, but can be fun when you're in the mood. These ones you've made are lovely, and I am sure they will be appreciated :)
I really only make them when I'm in the mood - so it was lucky that I had a month to make all the baby cards. When I got the design figured out, it just took a few hours to put all 30 together.
Hi Darla - Exactly my problem - I keep thinking, "Been there, done that!" when I start the second one. I did make tiny tweaks to all 30, but I would have had much more fun making them all different. Main problem is finding material for a baby card when the sex is not known. I was so surprised that almost everything was Boy or Girl, but I guess people have gotten used to knowing the sex of their child ahead of time.

DeleteCute cards Beryl. I congratulate you on making a series of 30. While I really do enjoy making cards I can't make myself duplicate my efforts.
