My son's wonderful girlfriend Kelsey got me this stuff for keeping my curly hair from sticking out and frizzily flying everywhere. And not only does it do that, it doesn't turn my hair into a stiff, scratchy helmet. Now I can stop taking the Nexxus stuff that my daughter likes. It says it's for split ends, but it was almost as good for curls as the Aveda. Thank you, Kelsey!
I used the product one summer when I had a curly perm (yes I really did)! It's good stuff. Use Aveda products on my hair now -- Shampure shampoo and conditioner. Good every day shampoo and conditioner.
ReplyDeleteI have always admired your hair, so it's nice to know what you use. Did you like your hair curly? I'll bet it was cute. My favorite look is when there is about 2 inches of straight roots with a curly perm.
DeleteI had several perms over the years and enjoyed curly hair, but what I really wanted was large loose curls and that never happened. If I just towel dry my hair and leave it, it's quite curly when wet, but then as it dries it straightens a bit and just has a few kinks here and there. I wonder if this Aveda stuff would help maintain the wet curls? Or maybe I just need to stick to blow drying with my large round brush...
ReplyDeleteI have seen products for coaxing the curl back in hair like that, but never tried them, since I certainly have never needed any more curl than I have. Would be so much easier than the blow dryer, I bet. The large loose curl is so pretty.
DeleteThanks for this info Beryl. My hair gets frizzy due to the high humidity in Florida. I am going to try this. I too use Aveda products.
ReplyDeleteI was so lucky Kelsey found it for me. But then, I was so lucky that my son, Nick found Kelsey! Hope your Summer in Florida is nice. I hear it can get a little hot plus the humidity. But it is such a gorgeous place,
