We've Spent The Last Few Weeks Watching The Owl Family....And Now Guess What They Are Doing?
The baby owls are just starting to try and fly, so when we get a glimpse of feathers fluffing. we run for the camera.Yes, we have been shamelessly snooping on their lives, thinking the owls didn't care. Doesn't this look like payback?
One can get up to the higher branches, but the other just hops up out of the nest to the top of the stump. They get so much bigger every day - it's amazing!
So glad you have been snooping as these are amazing photos. They are so good I bet you could send to a Nature or Wildlife magazine and they would publish them. Great photos!!!
Endless fascination with those owls. You will love watching them learn to fly!

ReplyDeleteThanks! Or rather, John thanks you since (once again) these amazing photos were taken by him.
DeleteThat top photo is brilliant. I'm sure they don't care unless they feel their young is threatened.
ReplyDeleteI was stunned when John brought the camera in to me (I was still asleep when he took them) and he showed me that first one.
DeleteThe first photo is absolutely wonderful, and it must be truly magical to see the owlets growing up and setting out!
