Salma Hayek Nail Polish

Finally!

Look at the beautiful display of Selma Hayek Nail Polish I found at an Elk Grove, California (just call it South Sacramento) store.  I'm a fan of all the Salma Hayek products sold at CVS stores, but it never occurred to me that there would be so many more products available at their California stores.  From my observations, the women in Oklahoma are more likely to wear make-up, no matter what their age.  Even John has noticed.  And since I'm a follower, I've been using make-up all the time, too.  I have used more make-up in the two years I've been in Tulsa than I would in more than ten years in Seattle, maybe even twenty.  Seriously, these Tulsa women always look good - in the pool for Water Aerobics, Line Dancing Classes at the Community Center, shopping for groceries, - teenagers to seniors.

  1. Wow, I had no idea Salma Hayek had a range of nail polish..and very nice they all look. I loved her in Freida, such a great actress.

  2. The makeup thing must be a Tulsa thing. I rarely see a woman wearing make-up (or even taking much care about her appearance at all) in Backwater or even Norman...

  3. Is that so - so interesting that more likely to wear make up there. Here in the East Bay almost noone wears make during the day and I've fallen into this too. Though I could def use some mascara to liven things up.

  4. Pretty display but I only have polish on when I get a manicure and then a pale almost neutral pink. Don't wear makeup either except a bit of lipstick occasionally. I'm surprised people wear make up for water aerobics, I'd be a mess.

  5. I grew up hearing 'Texas women try harder', maybe it should have been 'Tulsa women try harder'. I remember wearing a LOT more make up when I lived in Oklahoma. I often forego mascara here in Britain, something I used to feel completely naked without. I still do wear make up, but age and culture have made me tone it way down.

  6. Hi Patricia - I haven't seen Freida yet, but have been meaning to find it on Netflix. It's one of those movies that John isn't interested in, so we didn't see it in the theatre.

  7. Hi Simone - That is really interesting about Norman. I haven't spent any time at all around Oklahoma City, so I was just assuming it (and all the rest of Oklahoma) would be like Tulsa.

  8. Hi Jody - I usually only wear lipstick in California. I know I look better in more makeup, but without the peer pressure, I just don't bother. Here in Tulsa, I bother.

  9. Hi Darla - There is some very good waterproof makeup that they use. And some of my friends in the pool never get wet above the neck - I have no idea how they manage it, they are working just as much as everyone else.

  10. Hi Shelley - That is exactly what I meant - so much difference in cultures that you would think would be so similar.
