Don't Go Golfing At 2am In Tulsa And Other Advice I Give My Husband

Last night there was the most amazing storm here. The thunder and lightning was at its most majestic best! When we got up this morning, I had to give John a few words of advice. I could just see him getting restless and going out with his clubs and being struck by lightning. No, no, no!! After all, my life is right where I want it now, and him doing some deadly "guy thing" without thinking would mess that all up. You know the kind of stuff I mean - don't drink expired milk and don't leave your car window down in the garage because the scorpions can crawl in and surprise you when you're driving on the freeway. Hmm - I wonder if I have warned him about botulism? A woman's work is never done!

  1. Wasn't it insane? Seems the town just north of us spent an hour under sirens. Crazy!

  2. I'm trying to think what advice I give to Bill...to have a few more rest days from running now that he's 64? I'm clearly not doing my job properly, as that's the only advice I can remember providing.

  3. Catherine - I love heights and roller coasters and recognize the thrill I get from the edge of danger. Last night's storm was pretty close to the edge for me. Thank goodness for the siren system.
Tulsa has so much less of the really scary stuff than where you are. I see the weather on the news and you've been close to some really scary stuff.

  4. Shelley - Does Bill appreciate your advice? John usually rolls his eyes - and then just does what he always does.

  5. He doesn't roll his eyes, he just vaguely acknowledges the words and does what he planned all along.
