Really OPI, Really?

OPI makes expensive nail polish but the color selection is wonderful.  Their names are usually very cute, but I draw the line at the KardashianKolor Kollection by Nicole (OPI).  I don't want even 1/10th of a cent per bottle to go to these people.  Here are some of the names copied from the display at my local CVS Store:  Kendall On The Catwalk, Listen To Your Momanager, Follow Me On Glitter, One Big Happy Fame-ily, Ladies In The Limelight, Paparazzi Don't Preach, Strike A Pose, Smile For The Glam-era, Back To Reality...TV, Our Fushia's Looking Bright, All About The Glam, All Kendalled Up, Kim-pletelly In Love, Sealed With A Kris, Rainbow In The S-Kylie, Wear Something Spar-Kylie, Kourtney Is Red-y For A Pedi, Hard-Kourt Fashionista, Khloé Had A Little Lam-Lam, Disco Dolls.  Heck, some of these girls are not even Kardashians, they're Jenners.

  1. I'm afraid that this is part of modern culture that I've not indulged in - not reality TV, not Kim whatever (I've seem pics, she's pretty, but what does she do? Never mind, I don't really care), and sadly, not Lollipop or Frankenstein colours of nail colour. I like my hands just fine, but they don't have the length of finger to pull off such stark attention (not to mention that they are beginning to show my age big time). I do paint my toenails, though. In old fashioned colours like pink, red and burgundy - though I have splashed out on orange this month.

  2. I love orange polish on toes. Actually my favorite would be a coral orange, which is rare to find and then they discontinue it. As to Reality TV, I am not a fan. Not even the British stuff, which was around before America even started. Remember Trading Spaces? I have never see any of the Kardashian shows, so I guess you could say that I'm not familiar with their work, but make fun of them never the less. So maybe I'm not being fair - but even the names of this polish seem self-centered and vacuous to me.

  3. Oh, I could not agree more. I have a fairly high tolerance for trash TV, but Kardashians in our beauty products??? Really, it's too much to bear.

  4. We are on the same page here. I love TV, and while I'm not a fan of the reality stuff, I will watch some pretty trashy stuff.
