I used: 4 Cups fresh peaches, cut up, 2 Cups sugar, 1/3 Cup water, 1 1/2 Cups flour, 1 1/2 tsp baking powder, 3/4 Cup milk, 1 cube butter. Combine peaches, 1 cup of sugar, 1/3 Cup water; bring to a boil. Simmer 10 minutes. Remove peaches and boil syrup another 15 minutes. Pour peaches and syrup into an 11" x 13" baking pan. Combine flour, remaining cup of sugar, baking powder and cut in cold butter until resembles cornmeal. Add milk and mix lightly. Drop batter in dots and dollops over peaches and syrup. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes.

Friday - And Fun All Day!
Today was a Peach centered day - starting with a trip to Porter to buy some of the best peaches in Oklahoma, cheaper because they were over-ripe, just what I needed for the Peach Cobbler to take to the Sherlock Holmes movie night at one of the member's house. Then there was checking my blog for my friend Judy's recipe that I knew I had posted sometime last Summer. Running to the store because it turns out that ants really do like flour, maybe not to eat it, but just to play around in it - at any rate, I wanted new, un-anted flour. Then baking, buying Ice Cream. and serving to friends. And having them reaffirm what I could already tell myself - this was the best Peach Cobbler I have ever made!
