Do you know anyone who has given up purchasing shoes for Lent? I hope so, since that's the logic I used going into the Cole Haan store and trying on every pair possible. I really wanted to buy a pair, but except for the ones I already own, they just weren't special enough. Or they were special enough (and actually on sale), but out of my size. Luckily, I brought my daughter with me. (She really brought me, but who's counting.) (I needed someone to help me pick up all the See's candy at the mall, and she's so helpful.) So my point, and I do have one, is that she ended up with a wonderful pair of Teal Loafers that will be perfect for teaching at Berkeley next year. What is everyone doing to help keep our economy from stalling out during Lent?
