My Plants Are Happy And My Shoes Are Here

Went to Home Depot last Saturday and bought a few plant related things. Specifically a bag of rocks, potting soil, pots, and a Hibiscus and Geranium. The Hibiscus was all green colored until yesterday, when this riot of orange greeted me in the morning. Here it was, raining cats and dogs outside and this plant decided to redo the living room in an Hawaiian theme. Very cheery. What an appropriate mood for the arrival of my new shoes. Cute, aren't they? I think another pair in a tan linen would be useful. I've decided I need washable Summer shoes to combat the dust. Good Times!

  1. The dust has been horrid here in Wichita. I imagine you get a lot of wind in Tulsa too.
Tom's shoes are among my favorites. They have some floral shoes I'd really like to have.

  2. Love your shoes. And turquoise is so "in" this spring. Like your plants, too.

  3. Hi Debbi - Just this morning I saw a woman wearing a tan and white striped T-shirt, Jeans shorts, and tan linen Toms. I'll be going to Nordstrom.com and looking for a pair soon. I'll look at the florals too. Thanks!

  4. Hi Sanda - Turquoise is my accent color of choice. I like how it works with white, brown, denim, yellow, and black. Coral is a close second. These are just beautiful in person.
The geranium makes me think of Switzerland, for some reason. Maybe it's in the Heidi movie I loved when I was young.

  5. Cute shoes! Our lilac is already blooming and DH is getting eager to go hunting for morels. This is three weeks early!

  6. Terri - Does your husband hunt for them as a business? I understand it's very lucrative. But if just for home cooking, you must share a few recipes.
